On a high in low season

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

an example of the coral to be found diving on the Great Barrier Reef LUCKILY I was able to escape the wet weather in Brisbane recently and spoil myself holidaying in Port Douglas which I found to be very active.

This is my second trip to Port Douglas and I was surprised how busy the streets were.

On many occasions the pubs were full and I struggled to find a free car park in Macrossan St, even on a weekday.

To add to my luck the weather was the best I have ever seen.

I would like to thank the Poseidon crew who took me to the Great Barrier Reef on Sunday.

I hadn’t seen the reef for almost 10 years and I definitely picked the perfect day to go for a snorkel.

I also got the chance to drive to Cape Tribulation which was one of the most picturesque and memorable moments of my life.

To all the locals in the Douglas region, you are truly lucky to be where you are, if this is called the low season, the high season must be fantastic.

I look forward to another holiday in Easter.
