Friends, strangers save the day for lost dog

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

WE WOULD like to say a huge thank you to so many locals, some we know and some who are strangers, who helped us find our lost dog Ruby.

During Sunday’s loud storms, Ruby who is extremely sensitive to thunder, escaped from our house.

Houdini would have had trouble escaping but Ruby in her terrified state made her way out.

The number of people who rallied around and hit the streets searching for Ruby during her 14-hour ordeal was unbelievable.

She was finally reunited with us at 6am on Monday morning after being found by Phil Holloway and Jenni Sorensen.

A sincere thank you to everyone who spread the word and took time out of their own day and night to help us, in particular Phil, Jenni, Pauline, Linda, Roger and Skye.

How lucky we are to be part of this great community of Port Douglas.

Thanks again
