Plenty of tourists would welcome lagoon pool

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

PAM Willis Burden ( Gazette, December 16) states that tourists to Port would not use a public lagoon pool because they stay in resorts that have pools. I disagree with her. I believe many tourists would like a change of scene from their hotel pool.

Not all tourists stay in resorts - many are families who rent accommodations with very ordinary pools.

These people would welcome a cool place in town where they could take their kids, interact with other people, and enjoy a pretty setting by the sea.

Not to mention that many of our local residents, who live on the beach, would love another place to take their kids.

We all appreciate the natural beauty of Four Mile Beach, but it does not have to be the only attraction in Port Douglas.
