Lucky mo­torist walks away from rollover

A LO­CAL mo­torist is lucky to be alive af­ter los­ing con­trol in the rain on the Cap­tain Cook High­way, crash­ing into an em­bank­ment and rolling the ve­hi­cle. The 51-year-old Newell Beach man lost con­trol of the ve­hi­cle on a bend 900m north of Rex Look­out at 3.40pm on March 1. He walked away un­in­jured but had to climb out of his ve­hi­cle which was ex­ten­sively dam­aged. Po­lice are urg­ing mo­torists to be care­ful driv­ing in wet weather.
