Golfers get a few holes in

GOOD weather to­wards the end of last week al­lowed for play at the Moss­man Me­mo­rial Golf Club, al­though still re­stricted to nine holes.

Kerri Wil­liams had a day out on Thurs­day, win­ning the monthly medal and tak­ing home near­est the pins on 8 and 10. Kerri won with nett 75 ahead of Gayle Healey on nett 77.

Gayle also won the putting comp with 32 putts.

Satur­day’s monthly medals be­longed to the Car­neys, with John and Shirley tak­ing out the men’s and ladies di­vi­sions.

John Car­ney was the only player to break into the 60s, scor­ing a nett 68 to win by two shots to Rob Cooke on 70.

Brett Jurie took out A Grade nett with 72, Geoff Good­win won B Grade with 73 and Joe Wild won C Grade with 72.

Eli­jah Boon won the A Grade gross with 79, John Pether­bridge won B Grade with 90 and John Ziegler won C Grade with 92.

Shirley Car­ney won the ladies Satur­day monthly medal with a nett 74, two shots clear of Leonie Phillips and Bev Cowe on 76.
