Chamber to host function

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

THE Mossman Chamber of Commerce is inviting non-members to meet with the new committee and discuss how it can further their business next Wednesday.

The chamber was in danger of folding late last year due to a lack of support before the election of the new committee - Mark Bosun (president), David Cotton (vice-president), Stephen Wheeler (treasurer) and Wendy Casey (secretary) - at an extraordinary general meeting in November.

Last night the new committee hosted a function for existing members to help shape the direction of the chamber and identify what the local business community wants it to focus on.

“The chamber is just a representation of the local business community so if there are any businesses which are not members, we’d like them to come and let us know what we can do to help them,” Ms Casey said.

The networking function will be held at the Daintree Inn from 6.30pm next Wednesday, March 30.
