Net­ballers not keen on rain

NET­BALLERS com­peted in their first game of the sea­son on Tues­day night af­ter pre sea­son train­ing was de­layed by the rain­ing weather.

Many of the teams were forced to for­feit their games due to a large num­ber of play­ers not show­ing up on the night.

Rat­tle N Hum de­feated Ju­lat­ten Jewels by 26-19 with the best and fairest award go­ing to Kayla Crooky.

Blood Orange played a very tight game against Su­gar­land Shoot­ers win­ning by only two goals with a score of 30-28. Jaye Bard­s­ley was the best and fairest player.

The Crocs were smashed by the Cougars who won 29-14 and best and fairest awarded to Jodi Fran­cis.

The next net­ball games will be held on Tues­day March 29 at 6.15pm and 8pm at the Port Dou­glas Net­ball Courts or the Moss­man In­door Sport Cen­tre.

Blood Orange will play Cougars, Jets play Break­ers and Bad Habi­tats are up against a new team Odd Bods at 6.15pm.

Crocs will play against Ju­lat­ten Jewels, Pink Pan­thers will tackle Su­gar­land Shoot­ers and Rat­tle N Hum play Young Guns at 8pm.
