Port $1m prize
BUSINESSES from around the world are creating videos to enter in Tourism Queensland’s Million Dollar Memo campaign to win the Ultimate Reward in Port Douglas.
The Million Dollar Memo campaign is part of a five-year global marketing incentive which was launched by Tourism Queensland this month which aims to position Queensland as the leading travel destination in Australia.
Any business, company or organisation with a minimum of three staff can enter the competition to compete head to head for the Ultimate Reward - a $1 million incentive package to visit three destinations in Queensland.
Entrants need to create a 60-second video featuring at least three people from the company and demonstrate why their company is a great place to work and why Queensland is the ultimate reward destination.
From the entries, 20 finalists will be shortlisted and one representative from each company will compete in a 10-day incentive challenge event on August 31.
The challenges will be hosted in five destinations in Queensland including the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, the Whitsundays and Port Douglas. Tourism Port Douglas Daintree executive officer Doug Ryan encourages businesses from the Douglas region to enter.
“The representative who wins the final challenge on the final night wins a $1 million incentive package to visit three destinations in Queensland,” he said.
“Some of the challenges will be hosted in other regions but the finale is going to be held here in Port Douglas.”
The videos can be viewed on the Million Dollar Memo website http:// www. milliondollarmemo.com where member of the public can vote for the best video or share it with friends.
