BUSI­NESSES from around the world are cre­at­ing videos to en­ter in Tourism Queens­land’s Mil­lion Dol­lar Memo cam­paign to win the Ultimate Re­ward in Port Dou­glas.

The Mil­lion Dol­lar Memo cam­paign is part of a five-year global mar­ket­ing in­cen­tive which was launched by Tourism Queens­land this month which aims to po­si­tion Queens­land as the lead­ing travel des­ti­na­tion in Aus­tralia.

Any busi­ness, com­pany or or­gan­i­sa­tion with a min­i­mum of three staff can en­ter the competition to com­pete head to head for the Ultimate Re­ward - a $1 mil­lion in­cen­tive pack­age to visit three des­ti­na­tions in Queens­land.

En­trants need to cre­ate a 60-sec­ond video fea­tur­ing at least three peo­ple from the com­pany and demon­strate why their com­pany is a great place to work and why Queens­land is the ultimate re­ward des­ti­na­tion.

From the en­tries, 20 fi­nal­ists will be short­listed and one rep­re­sen­ta­tive from each com­pany will com­pete in a 10-day in­cen­tive chal­lenge event on Au­gust 31.

The chal­lenges will be hosted in five des­ti­na­tions in Queens­land in­clud­ing the Gold Coast, Sun­shine Coast, the Whit­sun­days and Port Dou­glas. Tourism Port Dou­glas Dain­tree ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Doug Ryan en­cour­ages busi­nesses from the Dou­glas re­gion to en­ter.

“The rep­re­sen­ta­tive who wins the fi­nal chal­lenge on the fi­nal night wins a $1 mil­lion in­cen­tive pack­age to visit three des­ti­na­tions in Queens­land,” he said.

“Some of the chal­lenges will be hosted in other re­gions but the fi­nale is go­ing to be held here in Port Dou­glas.”
