DOU­GLAS ju­nior net­ballers played their first round last Tues­day.

Di­a­monds played a tough game against Port and Miallo but took the lead with Kyah Fran­cis and Heidi Pashen show­ing out­stand­ing de­fence skills.

The game was won by Di­a­monds with a fi­nal score of 9-0.

The Moss­man Pri­mary team put in a great first game against Saints with Jas­mine Kirk show­ing her skills around the court. Moss­man won by 9-0.

De­spite their loss Saints player Kate Padovan played well con­sis­tently de­fend­ing both as goal shooter and did well in goal at­tack.

Port Crocs put up a good fight against Moss­man in the Un­der 12’s competition but it wasn’t enough to win the first round with a fi­nal score of 8-6.

The Saints-All­stars, with only three play­ers who have played net­ball, dom­i­nated the game against the Port, Miallo and Wonga mixed team with a fi­nal score of 19-0.

Savaanah Scott and Bon­nie Fan­cis demon­strated ex­cel­lent de­fence.

The Saints-Slushies played Miallo 1 who were a very strong team and won the round with a fi­nal score of 21-1.
