An­other tourist res­cued from Moss­man Gorge

THE Cairns-based swift wa­ter res­cue team was called to the Moss­man Gorge at 1.50pm on April 8 to save a woman who had been sep­a­rated from her friends whilst swim­ming in the gorge. The 23-year-old tourist was car­ried about 300m down­stream be­fore be­com­ing stranded on a rock mid­stream for an hour. The woman was res­cued and taken back to shore where she was then trans­ported to Moss­man hos­pi­tal for treat­ment of mi­nor in­juries.
