Blue Light recovery party
The Mossman and Port Douglas Blue Light Association travelled to Cardwell last week to hold a Cyclone Recovery Disco for the children who were affected by Cyclone Yasi. More than 170 children from Cardwell, Kennedy and Tully attended the disco at the Cardwell Community Hall and enjoyed a range of fun activities. Children between the age of five and 18 were able to enjoy a jumping castle, Xbox machines, disco dancing, and interactive games and were given the chance to win a range of prizes. The event was free thanks to the help of local sponsors. The association is seeking community groups to volunteer or make donations for the next disco event to be held on Friday May 27 at the Port Douglas Community Hall.
