Carling keeps pace
ROAD runner Nick Carling stayed on track last Saturday winning second place in the Cairns Courthouse Hotel Little Street Series.
Mr Carling was one of the 86 runners who raced the 10km course in Cairns and said it was a very competitive race.
“I managed to follow the track properly this time without taking any detours but it was very tough running in the heat,” he said.
Mike LeRoux was the winner of the race who finished in 35 minutes and 45 seconds, followed by Mr Carling with a time 36 minutes and nine seconds.
His time improved from the first race of the series where he finished on 41 minutes and 34 seconds after taking a small detour.
Series winners for the day were Nick Carling (10km) and Natalie Boddington (10km), Paul Ryan (5km) and Tjana FurnariSoutham (5km), Sam Ederveen (3km) and Montanna McAvoy (3km).
