Golfers revel in 18-hole hitout

BILL Heath kicked off the week in form scor­ing 39 points to win the Tues­day men’s competition af­ter a count­back to Don Dem­ler.

Peter San­tarossa fin­ished third with 38 points.

Bill also won near­est the pins on 6 and 8, Geoff Par­menter won 10, Art Howard won 13 and Ge­orge Page won 17.

Shona Bar­bour won the Thurs­day Stable­ford with 39 points ahead of Tr­ish Landy on 38 points. Near­est the pins were won by Lucy Giles on 8, He­len Gabour on 13 and Kerri Wil­liams on 10.

On Satur­day Ranald Ed­wards took out Divi­sion One with 39 points, two shots clear of Art Howard on 37 points.

Mau­rice Meth won Divi­sion Two with 39 points af­ter a count back to Brian De­laney. Near­est the pins were Ken Ea­gle on 6 and 17, Michael Roberts on 13 and Broz Jurie on 8 and 10.

Kim Ed­wards was the best of the Satur­day ladies, scor­ing 36 points to win by three shots to Kiara Lo­mas. Bev Cowe won near­est the pin on 6, Dot Jurie on 13 and Kiara on 17.

John Rea­son played bril­liantly on Sun­day, scor­ing 40 points to win by three shots to Lucy Giles. Near­est the pins were Lyn Heimann on 6 and Art Howard on 10.
