Wandering Crocs watch

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - SPORT -

WHILE the Port Douglas Crocs were almost invincible last year, there is one area where they could perform even better in 2011.

Senior coach Andy Viola says he is pretty happy with how the Darwin midfield brigade is shaping up.

In all, seven players from Wanderers have joined the Crocs in the 2011 season, although only five have played in the seniors so far.

“It’s great to have these young lads from Wanderers,” Andy said.

“We’ve always had a good working relationship with Wanderers.

“I played five seasons there, including a premiership, and the president is one of my best mates.”

Andy said the fresh faces added dash and polish to an already formidable Crocs outfit.

“At ground level, these blokes are all lightning quick.
