Council to the rescue

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

LAST weekend at the Mossman Markets some of the stallholders complained of the unsafe condition of the verges of the footpath.

On the Monday I rang Cairns Regional Council to seek their assistance.

I am very pleased to report that following some very courteous service, the council has been and completed repairs.

On behalf of the Mossman stallholders may we express our thanks to council for this very efficient service. must have the same problems, plus cheaper international destinations.

Ordinary Australians like myself will come here forever for a special holiday or to escape the southern cold, but the pipedreams of Marriner are just that. “the Sheraton will grow its portfolio to its goal of operating 100 hotels in China by the end of 2012”.

Seems to me the Chinese investors are pretty well cashed up so they should not expect the taxpayers of Australia to fund their project.

Those funds would be better invested in researching Hendra and other such viruses.
