Get Bach to true classical pianist
ACCLAIMED concert pianist Inge Rosar will perform a Bach recital at St Andrew’s Church in Port Douglas next Tuesday night.
Encore Concert’s Herman Soenario cannot wait to showcase the skills of the Professor of Music and Methodology at the Hochschule für Musik, Würzburg, Germany.
“Inge Rosar wrote the introduction to the pieces and musical illustrations, he explains it with music and gives a pre-concert lecture to enlighten and to make the experience easier to enjoy and understand,” Soenario said.
“This is old Bach, they are not simplistic pieces, they are difficult, they are wonderful and important to the whole music literature. Bach is the basics of every great classical piece, before Mozart and Beethoven there was Bach, he basically put the basis down for every classical musical effort.”
Soenario is encouraging everyone to come along and discover something new about the musical mastermind.
“Bach was a great mathematician and it is in his music. His pieces start simple and become complicated like a big maths sum - it intrigues every musician and it is so essential for newcomers to be introduced to Bach,” Soenario said.
There will be wine and coffee for sale on the night, and money raised will go towards St Andrew’s Church.
Tickets cost $25 for adults, $20 for pension card holders and $10 for minors and can be bought on the door or be booked by calling Herman Scenario on 4093 9018 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
