Fitness focus workshop for seniors
DOUGLAS retirees and baby boomers are able to get exercise-regimes specifically tailored to suit their lifestyles as part of a free workshop.
The Bligh Government is holding a ’Physical Activity for Older Adults’ workshop next Tuesday to teach participants the benefits of physical activity.
The workshop will focus on exercises designed to suit their lifestyles and will help reduce the effects of ageing.
The state government aims to reduce obesity levels in Queensland by one third in 2020 by encouraging Queenslanders to lead more active lifestyles, regardless of age.
The ’Physical Activity for Older Adults’ workshop will be held at the Port Douglas Spores Centre next Tuesday August 16 between 10am-1pm, light refreshments will be served and bookings are essential.
