Farewell for Davo

“HERO of the home­less” David “Davo” McVey will be farewelled at a fu­neral in Moss­man to­mor­row.

Davo ded­i­cated his life to help­ing out the home­less in Moss­man, dig­ging into his own mea­gre pock­ets to feed, clothe and trans­port them.

He also es­tab­lished “Some­where to Run”, an aban­doned gov­ern­ment prop­erty north of the Dain­tree River ac­ces­si­ble only by boat which Davo ran by him­self as a half­way house to help the home­less beat al­co­hol and drug ad­dic­tion.

Davo passed away ear­lier this month af­ter a long battle with cancer and his life will be cel­e­brated at his fu­neral at the Moss­man Gorge church from 9.30am to­mor­row.

The de­tails of his wake will be re­vealed at the fu­neral and ev­ery­one is wel­come to at­tend.
