Barra lures clever croc

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

ONE clever croc at Wonga Beach knew which side its barra is buttered on.

The three-metre crocodile was recently “rescued” from a Wonga Beach bar- ramundi farm where it was pulled from one of the ponds.

It is thought the female crocodile had entered the farm through a storm water drain that runs into the Daintree River and then found her way into the farm - and the ready supply of fresh barra.

The free-loading croc now calls the Daintree Wild Zoo home.
