IT IS getting to the business end of the season for the Mossman Bowls Club.
The club has the selected the 3s final to play on Saturday with B Day, D Beaumont and A Conroy up against B Wolland, T Pisot and Valentine.
Sunday’s handicap semifinal will be B Wolland -4 to battle it out with C Wills -5.
In last week’s jackpot bowls, the results were D Pitt, G Marsh, A Douglas and A Cooper defeated J Girgenti, G Zillfleisch, D Head and S Chatterton 25-16.
C Maxted, B Field, R Pitt and A Christie’s soundly beat C Andreassen, R Vlug, T Pisot and R Pitt 31-10.
In the Handicap singles played on Sunday,B Wolland easily defeated D Pitt 25-5.
And in tomorrow’s Super Challenge game, teams chosen are D Egan for singles and the marker/umpire will be G Wilmot.
The pairs teams will be D Blain and C Wills and R Parkes and C Maxted.
The 3s will be J Hocking, P Cleary and J Sellars.
The Fours team is D Pitt, R Ashford, N Tesch and B Wolland.
Players are asked to be at club by 5.30pm.
In ladies’ bowls news, two games of surperb bowls were played in the ladies’ games on Sunday with Maree Crees (151) soundly defeating Joan Day (99) and Zina Girgenti (151) defeating Estelle O’Rourke (129).
Maree will now play Zina in the grand final.
Social bowls was also played with Jean Marsh and Glenys Sharp (34) defeating Barbara May and Clair Holloway (15), Denise Highland and Val Franzi (23) drew with Jan Gard and Sonia Edwards (23).
Kaye Dean was the lucky raffle winner and the next meeting of will be held on October 13 at 10.30am.
