Action ... cast still lming
WHEN Stefan Dennis is not busy playing the sometimes evil businessman of Ramsay St, Paul Robinson, he is making the most of his first visit to the Douglas region.
The established actor has been in town since Monday filming for Neighbours, in a storyline that sees his character trying to find Kate Ramsay, played by Ashleigh Brewer.
“Paul is trying to find Kate, she ran away, escaped her life without giving too much away,” he said.
“While she’s escaping life and responsibilities, the shit hits the fan back home involving Sophie (Kate’s younger sister) who is going to be taken into care if Kate doesn’t front up and show that she is her legal guardian.
“Paul spins this story saying I know where she is, she’s on holidays, goes into a wild panic and heads up to Port Douglas to find her.”
Despite the showers the region has experienced since Tuesday, filming is still underway at different locations for the Neighbours episodes including the marina on the Quicksilver boats.
It is not all work for Stefan while he is up here, as once the cameras stop rolling he has a chance to do some sightseeing.
“This is the first time I’ve been to Port Douglas, I’m a virgin to the area,” Stefan said.
“On Friday it’s filming at the villa where Paul’s staying but in the meantime I’m going to the Mossman Gorge.
“I’m also going out to the reef on Thursday to do some scuba diving.”
The Neighbours episodes filmed in Port Douglas will screen around the world in February next year.
