Se­cu­rity guard hit

A VIC­TO­RIAN man al­legedly as­saulted a lo­cal se­cu­rity of­fi­cer af­ter be­ing re­fused en­try into a Macrossan St li­censed pub on a hos­pi­tal­ity night. The in­ci­dent oc­curred at mid­night on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 18, af­ter the 32-year-old al­leged of­fender was re­fused en­try for be­ing too drunk. The 40-year-old se­cu­rity of­fi­cer re­ceived a blow to the head and re­ported the in­ci­dent the fol­low­ing day. The Vic­to­rian man was charged with as­sault oc­ca­sion­ing bod­ily harm and will ap­pear in the Moss­man Mag­is­trate’s Court on Novem­ber 23.
