Theft foiled by flat bat­tery

AN AT­TEMPTED theft of a mo­tor-ve­hi­cle failed when an of­fender al­legedly il­le­gally en­tered a 1998 Holden com­modore in an un­der­ground car park but the bat­tery was flat. The car park is part of a re­sort on Port Dou­glas Rd and the ve­hi­cle was un­locked when the in­ci­dent oc­curred be­tween 8pm Novem­ber 20 and 7am on Novem­ber 21. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion is urged to con­tact Port Dou­glas po­lice on 4087 1999. $1400 and any­one with in­for­ma­tion is urged to con­tact po­lice on 4087 1999 or Crime Stop­pers on 1800 333 000. cash stolen some­time from the evening of Novem­ber 18 to the morn­ing of Novem­ber 21. There was no dam­age to the prop­erty and if any­body knows of any sus­pi­cious ac­tiv­ity in the Craiglie in­dus­trial es­tate con­tact po­lice 4087 1999 or Crime Stop­pers 1800 333 000.
