FORMER resident James Elliot and fiancé Valeria Kovach have set up a new luxury furniture business Zen Living in Port Douglas, allured by the lifestyle and community spirit of the region.

James and Valeria are excited to settle down in the area and are currently planning their wedding to be held in Port Douglas in January.

James has a background in real estate and Valeria has 20 years acquired experience in the shipping industry.

Based at Craiglie, Zen Living offers high end furniture at affordable prices.

Resort fitouts will be the main focus of the business, but public is welcome to the warehouse/showroom by appointment.

“We have over 2000 lines, with lines evolv- ing every month,” James said.

“Resorts can also custom design furniture using an array of high quality materials and fabrics and we can even color match to any shade.

“Quality is our focus and we have partnered with some of the world’s leading manufacturers, who supply global leading brands.

“We aim to personalise pack- ages and take the time to listen to the desires and needs of customers.”

Zen living further pledges to become a communityfocused company.

“We’re really keen to give back to the town,” Valeria said.

“We’ve made a commitment to the upcoming community garden and are looking to become further involved in the community.”
