Traf­fic op: false plates

MOSS­MAN po­lice charged five peo­ple in three days for one or more of­fences of driv­ing un­reg­is­tered, unin­sured, un­li­censed and false and can­celled plates as part of a traf­fic op­er­a­tion last week. All five peo­ple will ap­pear in the Moss­man Mag­is­trate’s Court on Jan­uary 11 and Moss­man po­lice will con­tinue to con­duct ran­dom traf­fic op­er­a­tions to crack down on bad driv­ing be­hav­iour. Mean­while, Port Dou­glas po­lice con­tinue the lo­cal traf­fic op­er­a­tion Cairns Im­pe­rial, is­su­ing five speed­ing tick­ets on De­cem­ber 7 along Port Dou­glas Rd and Cap­tain Cook High­way. None were 25km/h over the speed limit.
