SMAF Seabean success

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

THE Douglas United Football Club Inc wishes to thank all the staff at the new Sea Bean restaurant at Wharf Street Port Douglas for a fantastic lunch and entertainment venue for the club’s Soccer Mums and Friends.

The child-friendly atmosphere, exceptional service and excellent lunch menu was a celebratory way the SMAFS could relax and enjoy each other’s company prior to the start of the school holidays.

Thanks to Sea Bean for its support for this SMAF fundraising event.

The ladies look forward to the new menu coming out soon and highly recommend the restaurant for family dining and Christmas function. Well Done Sea Bean. The club also graciously thanks the Bendigo Bank for its donation to our local sporting club at the Mossman Memorial Bowls Club last Thursday.

While it may be well known that the Bendigo Bank provides substantial contributions and support to communities affected by national and international disasters such as the 2011 Queensland Floods, 2011 Victorian Floods, 2010 West Australian Bushfires and 2009 Victorian Black Saturday it is also significant that recognition be given to its support to not-for-profit groups in local communities.

The bank’s support for our club and the opportunity for local businesses and individuals to support the club through the bank’s philanthropic and community banking programs is most appreciated.

It is good to see that despite the recent financial downturn in global economies that bank continues to support local charitable communities.
