FIFTY local performers will take to the stage in Market Park for Carols Under the Stars on Saturday night.

The free joint production of the Port Douglas Academy of Performing Arts and Ward Benedict will see tal- ented youngsters from two to 16 years, strut their stuff in the annual performance.

Organiser Nelle Jenkins said the show was a chance to celebrate the festive season together while encouraging local performers.

“They’ll be singing traditional and contemporary Christmas songs with a dash of cabaret,” she said. “Santa will also be making an appearance.” The performance kicks off from 7pm on Saturday night in Market Park, Wharf St.
