Burst pipe to blame for lack of showers

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

SOUTH Mossman residents were left without their morning shower last Friday when a water main in Connolly St burst.

Cairns Regional Council workers had to shut off the water supply around 7.15am to fix the water main, which had a crack in it around 50cm long and turned water back on an hour later.

The water pipe has been patched with a band and flagged for replacement and Cairns Regional council have told the Gazette the entire network will eventually be replaced but they are not sure when.
