THREE commercial kayaks valued at several thousand dollars have been stolen from a locked shed near Oak Beach. The distinctive kayaks, which belong to local business Back Country Bliss, include two Tango doubles and a Stingray single. Each kayak features perspex viewing holes on the bottom and the orange-bladed paddles are also 12, and were discovered missing yesterday morning. Anyone with information or who noticed someone loading kayaks around Oak Beach or Pebbly Beach is urged to call Port Douglas Police on 4087 1999.
