Kayaks stolen

THREE com­mer­cial kayaks val­ued at sev­eral thou­sand dol­lars have been stolen from a locked shed near Oak Beach. The dis­tinc­tive kayaks, which be­long to lo­cal busi­ness Back Coun­try Bliss, in­clude two Tango dou­bles and a Stingray sin­gle. Each kayak fea­tures per­spex view­ing holes on the bot­tom and the orange-bladed pad­dles are also 12, and were dis­cov­ered miss­ing yes­ter­day morn­ing. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion or who no­ticed some­one load­ing kayaks around Oak Beach or Peb­bly Beach is urged to call Port Dou­glas Po­lice on 4087 1999.
