Cooya kicks on
that’s what we’re trying to achieve.”
The estate will be done in 12 stages totalling about 400 blocks and will take five to 10 years to complete.
“We’re committed to the long haul and will keep churning them out as quickly as we can sell them,” Mr Chivers said.
“We normally wouldn’t spend money until we’ve sold the next stage, but we’re keen to have everything in place so if things do pick we can get cracking as quickly as possible.”
Stage four has 18 lots and will be completed by June and the developers have slashed the price of blocks on stages one and two by $10,000 to encourage the market.
“That’s matching the boost still available for building a property, so there’s potentially $20,000 in discounts and government grants in total,” Mr Chivers said.
