Local wife swap to air

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

WIFE swap - the show where husbands, wives and families find out that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side - will air this week featuring one of Port Douglas’s very own families.

Local fashion designer Cindy Liggins exchanged partners and lived for a week with a devoutly religious family and filmed scenes in Bonnie Doon, Victoria, in November last year.

She had to abide by the household rules set by the other wife, then had the opportunity to change the tables and play boss for her “new family”, while husband Mick shared their home with his “new bride”.

“I can’t say much about the show until it airs - but I will say that the family I was swapped with were very reserved and very different to me,” Cindy said.

“They took over 200 tapes for a one hour show, so it will be interesting to see how it is edited.

I acted completely like myself - balls to the wall.

“I’m not worried about being misrepresented.”

The show airs on Lifestyle You, channel 120 at 7.30pm QLD time on Monday, March 5.

The Court House Hotel will show the program on the big screen on Monday night where Cindy will also launch her new fashion collection and everyone is invited to laugh along with the star of the show.

“My latest fashion collection ’Insanity’ is aptly named and is inspired by the show,” Cindy said.
