Big thanks to all the CWA gardeners

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

ON BEHALF of Port Douglas CWA I would like to say a very big thank you to the people who have helped us to create a garden at our hall.

Firstly to James “Gardener Extraordinaire” Watson who has given us many hours of labour and has done a great job.

The Cairns Regional Council - particularly Julie, Peter, Sean, Gayland, and Gunny - who have provided us with the materials such as soil, mulch, rocks and plants, as well as building us a walkway from the car park. Thanks guys.

Also to Barry, Brian, Patrick and Geoffrey, the husbands and sons of two of our members who have also worked extremely hard.

We are endeavouring to make our hall a more attractive and comfortable venue to hire out for functions, meetings and displays and also to encourage new members. We have certainly not finished yet. We really are in need of some outside furniture, trellis fencing and drainage pipe.

If anybody has any of these items that they no longer need, we would be very grateful to receive them.

So thank you so much again to all of the above.

Lending a hand: James Watson was one of the many helpers
