Soulful blues serenade at the Clink
EXCEPTIONAL guitarist-singersongwriter Tobias Moldenhauer will thrill audiences at the Clink Theatre later this month.
Moldenhauer recorded his solo demo in Germany in 2005, and it was so well received it has taken him on the road to share his passion for music with people throughout the world.
He has performed in a variety of countries, including Germany, Sweden, Italy, the Czech Republic, Samoa and Australia.
Moldenhauer’s latest release Live at the Red Shed received airplay across Australia and has toured interstate, and he opened shows for artists such as Neil Murray, Victor Martinez and performed with musicians such as Angus Diggs (of Jeff Lang, Bob Brozman and Mia Dyson fame).
His solo performances feature effect pedal driven acoustic guitar, bottleneck slide resonator guitar, Hawaiian lap steel guitar and explores different genres with their roots in the blues.
Melodic finger-picking in open tun- ings coupled with soulful and haunting vocals, Moldenhauer’s material draws on a wide variety of influences, but all the time putting his own original take on the music.
Moldenhauer will be performing at the Clink Theatre on March 17, with a 7pm entry and 7.30pm start.
The support act will be Jeremiah Johnson and tickets cost $20 or $15 for concession holders and are available at the door.
