T-QUAL accreditation for Douglas business
A HOST of businesses in the Douglas region have received T-QUAL accreditation, Tourism Australia’s newly-launched recognisable national trademark that endorses quality tourism businesses and services.
The new scheme is the Federal Government’s partnership with quality tourism accreditation, rating and certification programs, which accredits tourism products at all price points from back packing accommodation to luxury five-star hotels.
Trip Advisor, the world’s largest tourism review site, will feature the T-QUAL tick, allowing Trip Advisor’s 44 million estimated users to make confident decisions on booking Australian tourism products.
Thala Beach Lodge and Rydges Sabaya Resort Port Douglas have been endorsed as T-qual approved accommodation, whilst Haba Dive and Snorkel and Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas are recognised as T-QUAL endorsed attractions in Port Douglas.
Aristocat Snorkel & Scuba, Poseidon Outer Reef Cruises, Synergy Reef Sailing, Sailaway Port Douglas - Sailaway IV Low Isles, Reef and Rainforest Connections and Malaita Low Isles Cruises have all been given the tick of tourism quality-assured tours in the area.
“The T-QUAL seal of approval gives consumers assurance that they are getting a quality tourism product leading to greater consumer satisfaction,” T-QUAL accreditation manager Vicki Jones said.
“The T-QUAL symbol additionally encourages high standards of product and service and is a symbol that consumers can easily identify.”
