Aus­tralian voices hit high note

SE­LECTED singers from The Aus­tralian Voices are go­ing to sing up a storm - a capel­lastyle - on Satur­day at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Port Dou­glas.

The Aus­tralian Voices artis­tic di­rec­tor, Gor­don Hamil­ton, has se­lected some of the most beau­ti­ful works of the past 300 years to be per­formed, in­clud­ing favourites by Bach, Mozart, Rach­mani­noff, Tchaikovsky, Bruck­ner and more.

By book­ing a ticket you also have the op­por­tu­nity to at­tend a pre-con­cert work­shop with The Aus­tralian Voices and to join them on stage (to sing the work­shopped num­ber) in con­cert, which will be Mozart’s Ave Verum.

The per­for­mance starts at 2pm, cost for adults is $20, con­ces­sion $15 and stu­dents $5. Tick­ets avail­able at the door.

Ticket hold­ers are wel­come to join the choir work­shop of Mozart’s Ave Verum which will start one hour be­fore the con­cert.
