Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - BUSINESS -

DURING these economically tough times businesses are doing their best to stay afloat, but Raine & Horne in Mossman have taken that a step further and picked up a number of awards for performance excellence.

In a ceremony held in Brisbane recently, 250 Raine & Horne franchise owners and their staff saw the Mossman office singled out for business growth.

The rookie award for property management went to Mossman’s Monica Cartwright while Jocelyn Schumacher took out the Chairman’s Club award, which incorporates property management and growing the rent roll.

The Mossman office also won the award for the best new regional office in Queensland.

Franchise owner Jocelyn Schumacher said she was thrilled for her team.

“We only took over this office in July 2009, and it was tough economic times then,” she said.

“In fact since being in business we have only known tough times and so it’s great we can all hold our own,” Mrs Schumacher said.

“If we’ve weathered the tough conditions it will be a litter easier when the good times come around again.”
