RES­I­DENTS of the Cairns Re­gional Coun­cil area will again have ac­cess to free travel over the Dain­tree River the Easter break from to­mor­row un­til April 16.

A Dain­tree Ferry Smart Card will need to be shown at the ticket booth to gain free ac­cess to the ferry.

Any­one who al­ready has a card can hold on to it for use at Easter.

To re­quest a new card, sim­ply ap­ply in per­son at the coun­cil’s cus­tomer ser­vice cen­tre in Spence St, Cairns, or Front St, Moss­man, dur­ing busi­ness hours. Proof of iden­ti­fi­ca­tion and res­i­dency of the Cairns Re­gional Coun­cil area is re­quired.

Any­one who pre­vi­ously ob­tained a card but has since dis­posed of it is wel­come to
