It’s good news week
WHILE life isn’t all about clowning around, we all need to put a smile on our dial sometimes.
To help promote and encourage the feelgood factor locally, the Gazette will publish its inaugural “Good News Week” special edition next month on Thursday, May 12.
Local media has a signifificant role to play in fifi ghting for the rights of the community but an equally important role is to champion the everyday efforts of locals who contribute to the social fabric of our community for little or no reward.
We want to dedicate the whole “Good News Week” special issue cover to cover to positive stories about local people and subjects that bring a smile to your face.
But we can’t do it without your help.
If you know of someone who deserves a special mention in our “Good News Week” special edition or if you want a particular subject covered, then we want to hear about it.
Even our resident “horrorscope” writer Derek the Angry Dugong has promised to be on his best behaviour for the week.
To help us get started, please send us in some good news tips so we can share them with everyone.
To get in touch, simply call the Gazette on 4099 8555, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, text the editor on 0421 269 100 or fifi nd us on Facebook.
