Bale up for grabs
THE final stage of the luxury resort Niramaya, formerly known as Bale, is up for auction.
The 2.8ha subdivision is the final stage of the Bale Resorts Pty Ltd holdings in Port Douglas and has been approved for construction of 23 villas with “millions of dollars” of services already installed.
The infrastructure includes satellite television and communications, water, sewer, gas and telephones.
The development stalled before the villas were built when project manager Brian Ray died in a light- airplane crash in 2005.
Tony Mcgrath of Tony Mcgrath Real Estate has been appointed to sell the property in a final clearance auction but is keeping mum on the reserve price.
“The reserve price will be very attractive to a buyer,” he said.
“There have been four parties that have expressed interest and now it’s crunch time and they either want to buy it or they don’t.
“It’s an outstanding piece of property and there’s a very good opportunity for a buyer.
“Bale Resorts are the vendor, it’s probably their last couple of assets and they want to wind up that activity.”
Interested parties can organise an inspection of the land by appointment and see the lots ready for construction, with an excavated lake in the centre.
The auction will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Cairns on Saturday, April 14, at 11am. For more information or inquiries contact Tony Mcgrath on 0418 772 277 or tony@ theagentportdouglas.com
