Repeat visits are the order of the day

Repeat visitor and Sydney resident Marko Miranda is enjoying the eateries of the area

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - TOURISM TALK -

This is my third visit to Port Douglas from Sydney and I love it. I am staying for a fortnight with my beautiful girlfriend Jemma.

The first time I visited Port Douglas was after I moved to Australia from Mexico, I started in Canberra and did a road trip up to here.

Since then I have moved to Sydney and currently work at 13B Cocktail Bar as a chef and have holidayed in Port Douglas and also been to the Blue Mountains.

My favourite place in Port Douglas is the beach, I have been here when it’s not looking so brown, right now it’s dark because of the rainy season but in July to September it’s amazing.

I love it, every morning I wake up and take a run on the beach and have breakfast at the Beaches Café on the Esplanade, they have really good breakfasts.

It’s nice to get out of Sydney to a nice quite place and relax - I know no one, so no one bothers me.

I also love the shop Taste on Macrossan. I have had no bad experiences in my travels to Port Douglas and I would definitely recommend the area to my friends.
