Jnr Dragons attack

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - SPORT -

DOUGLAS United’s Eurotech Under 10 Dragons kicked their season off on Saturday with a three-match carnival in Woree.

In the first game, the boys took time to blow the cobwebs away but when they got into their stride their opponents Leichardt had no answers to the Dragons’ attacking play and Douglas ran out 10-0 winners.

In the second game, the young Dragons again found their form passing the ball around nicely and defending solidly and overran a strong Innisfail team 4-0.

In the third game, the Dragons took on Innisfail again but even with some tired legs the Dragons still had too much quality and the game ended 8-0 to Douglas United.

Goal Scorers on the day were Jack Carr 5, Jack Jenkins 4, Bailey Morrison 3, Charlie Dowling 3 and Jake Read 3, Mitch Ralston 2, Conner White 2.

And Elliot Adams, Nick Rayner and Lockie Weyand were great in defence and Luke Hull with his safe hands was a great goalkeeper.
