Board stays

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

MOSSMAN Mill chairman Bill Phillips-turner will continue on in the role.

“The whole company hasn’t been sold, what’s been sold is the sugar mill and assets, what remains is the bagging plant and food branding that makes Daintree Sugar and the low GI sugar,” he said.

“That is what will remain of the company Mossman Central Mill Company Limited, Mackay will take the name but we’ll still have the same board of directors.

“We have a sugar contract with Mackay Sugar because we have to buy the sugar from Mackay Sugar which we use to make the Low GI or Daintree Gold.”
