Miallo school exhibition

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

Miallo State School has planned an exciting five-day demonstration of their talented students’ artworks and an Under-8s day as part of State Education Week.

All 150 students have created artworks using different mediums to showcase their wonderful work for parents and friends to admire from next Monday to Friday.

Principal Anet Kyiah Ridley said the exhibition was a great opportunity to show another side of the school.

“Although maths and English have a high priority at the school, we want to show the parents that the arts are still important and the kids have been enjoying themselves creating their works,” she said.

Under-8s day will be held on Thursday, May 24, from 9am-11am at the school where there will be face painting, crazy hair, an obstacle course, bubble blowing and art activities run by teachers and student leaders and the artworks will be on display all week.
