Perfect trip for bub

Sydney resident Catherine Bye, and son Connor (6 months).

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - TOURISM TALK -

MY HUSBAND and I have travelled to Port Douglas from Sydney with our six month old son Conner for a relaxing holiday before my maternity leave is up and I head back to work.

I work in IT sales, and we really wanted to just chill out and relax on a family holiday before heading back to Sydney.

We are staying at Balboa Apartments. The managers there are so friendly and we have everything we need as it’s fully self-contained, which is a real bonus with Conner.

Every day we take long walks and a few days ago around the Sugar Wharf we stumbled upon 3 Nineteen, which has become our favourite place to go - the slow cooked glazed ribs are delicious and go down so well with a nice glass of sangria.

We had a really good day on Calypso doing a reef trip. The ride was a little rough heading out but the staff were great and had sea sickness tablets on hand for us.

I went and got a massage yesterday, which was nice but very expensive. I’ve sent my husband for a massage today, although to a different place.

We are enjoying our last couple of days here before we head north to the Daintree. We will definitely come back to visit Port Douglas.

Enjoying the weather: Catherine and Conner Bye
