Free motivational session
BEST-SELLING small business author Andrew Griffith will host a free motivational presentation in Port Douglas next week.
Mr Griffith will share seven clear-cut strategies to dramatically increase business success and give tips on dealing with the modern consumers, networking and competing against the internet.
Known for his ability to entertain, inspire and to energise, Mr Griffith has become a highly sought-after keynote speaker.
From humble beginnings growing up as an orphan in Western Australia to a series of very successful small businesses, Mr Griffith has a very colourful background to demonstrate to others that anything is possible.
“No one could deny that running a small business has got tough, really tough, in the last few years. Places like Port Douglas that are heavily dependent on tourism have felt the pinch a lot more than others,” Mr Griffith said.
“We have to be careful we don’t slide into victim mentality and a sense of helplessness. Now is the time that small businesses need to step up, invest time and energy and positivity in what they are doing.
“Attitude plays a critical part to success and my aim at the Chamber event is put what is going on into perspective, to share my own experiences and observations with what we need to do to come out the other side stronger and tougher.”
The event, sponsored by The Port Douglas Chamber of Commerce and Queensland Flexible Funding, will be held on Tuesday May 29, at The Clink Theatre from 6.15pm.
