Silky Oaks un­der­goes ex­ten­sive $3m up­grade

EX­CLU­SIVE rain­for­est re­sort Silky Oaks Lodge has com­pleted a $3 mil­lion com­plete re­fur­bish­ment and up­grade - a two-year labour of love.

The ex­ten­sive re­fur­bish­ment in­cludes ren­o­va­tions of all 32 deluxe tree houses, 11 new river houses, the main lodge and spa and the ad­di­tion of two bil­l­abong suites for “the ul­ti­mate in rain­for­est lux­ury”.

The river view suites are built of sus­tain­able ma­te­rial and Silky Oaks is con­fi­dent the re­ju­ve­na­tion will gen­er­ate plenty of in­ter­est around the world.

Di­rec­tor of sales and mar­ket­ing Clau­dia McFad­den said the com­plete re­fur­bish­ment of­fered “to­tal re­lax­ation and lux­ury to guests”.

“We think that this re­fur­bish­ment will re­ally step up the prop­erty a level,” she said.

“For­ward book­ings and en­quiries are show­ing en­cour­ag­ing re­sults and we are hop­ing for a pos­i­tive sea­son this year.

“We are en­cour­ag­ing peo­ple to ex­tend their stays to at least a week, to get the most out of the Silky Oaks Lodge ex­pe­ri­ence.”
