Daintree Inn looking for love

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - BUSINESS -

THE historic Daintree Inn situated in Mossman remains up for grabs.

A recent auction in Cairns for the property passed without a bid.

This traditional country-style pub is a central part of the Mossman township and boasts both main and private bars, a small gaming room with 10 pokies machines, kitchen, dining room, private function room, a outdoor beer garden with swimming pool and a bottle shop.

The hotel also offers accommodation with 18 rooms plus a shared kitchen, lounge and laundry facilities, staff accommodation and a two bedroom managers unit.

This established landmark hotel is com- mercially zoned and situated on a prime corner location on Front Street.

Realtor Stacey Quaid said “it was a great property with so much potential”.

“It’s on the market for only $990,000 plus value of stock on hand,” he said.

“There is real opportunity for further growth with this business.

“There has been some reasonable interest but no contracts have yet been entered into.

“We are happy to talk with any interested parties and help as much as we can.”

The Daintree Inn is listed with Colliers International in Cairns and Mr Quaid can be contacted on 0418 773 258.
