Sandy-cat finds new home to curl up at

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

WE WANT to let all Sandy-cat’s many friends and fans know he has been relocated.

We have had the pleasure of being a feeding station, rest area and safe house for the very popular Sandy-cat.

When the bus company moved out a few years ago, we took on the regular vet check-ups and when council said cats had to be registered, we made the relationship a little more formal.

Now as a result of council’s Waterfront planning, we have had to move from our Ashford Avenue offices.

We are now located on Warner St, between Seabean restaurant and the bike shop - where the bike shop used to be.

Although Sandy-cat is very self-sufficient and capable, he is getting on and arthritis is taking its toll.

We had major concerns about him staying in the area with the expected demolition work and felt he might be better making the move with us.

He was not entirely sure about the new digs, but he is gradually settling in and making the place his own.

We know there are lots of people around who have come to love Sandy-cat’s style and c-attitude.

Please be assured he is safe and well.

Settling in: Sandy-cat helps with the move
