Inaugural grudge match between Sea Temple and Paradise

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - SPORT -

AROUND 20 committed owners from Paradise Links Resort will fly in from around Australia next week to take on the Sea Temple in an inaugural grudge match.

The Paradise Links owners have their annual general meeting next Thursday and the golf fanatics will follow this up with a practice round and a seafood barbecue and wine tasting.

Friday morning sees the start of the inaugural Paradise Links Resort versus Sea Temple Golf Club Members Challenge.

This will be an ambrose style team challenge, followed by a meal and presentations at the Golf Club.

Paradise Links owner John Carney said great prizes and the bragging rights are there to be won.

“At the moment ladies nominations for the Sea Temple Team are very scarce, rumour has it that the Sea Temple ladies have chickened out from the event and will be having their own luncheon at an undisclosed hideaway,” he said.

“Maybe next year with a little practice they will put their hands up and join in the fun.”

All golfers need to have a club handicap, there are still limited spaces available for the Sea Temple Team.
