Carnivale golf swings away
MOSSMAN Golf Club hosted the first round of the Carnivale Golf Tournament and all members and visitors enjoyed the course which is in great condition.
Tuesday field was down, due to members competing in the second day of the Carnivale Golf Tournament.
The Four Ball Best Ball event was won by Leon Baker and Wayne Soxsmith with 40 points on a count-back to Barry Brims and Art Howard.
Third place was taken out by Don Demler and Barry Rouse with 38 points.
Nearest the pins - Leon Baker on 10 and Laurie Prosser on 13.
JUNIORS - The Club is hosting free clinics each Tuesday 5pm - 6pm for youngsters aged 6 - 17 years., please call Geoff Goodwin for further details on 0418 456 901.
The winner of Wednesday’s nine hole event was Jeff Murray with 20 points.
Thursday’s Ladies Stableford event was won by Bev Cowe with 36 points.
Second place was Trish Landy with 30 points on a count-back to Gayle Healey.
Nearest the pins - Bev on 8 & 10 and Trish on 13.
The Saturday Men’s Stableford event was won by John Ziegler with 38 points. Second place Wayne Baxter with 37 points on a count-back to Matty Gray and Maurie Meth.
Nearest the pins - Art Howard on 8, Ian McDowell on 10 and T Monahan on 17.
The Ladies Saturday winner was Leonie Phillips with 33 points and runner up Judy McCormack with 31 points.
Nearest the pins - Shona Barbour and Kim Edwards.
A small field enjoyed the competition on Sunday, and there were also lots of social players having a hit.
The winner of the Stableford event was Art Howard with 36 points on a count-back to Christie Bouwkamp.
